ER308/ER308L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire
The most popular filler metal among all of the stainless steel welding wires, ER308/ER308L MIG Wire is great for a variety of general purpose applications and is used for welding types 304, 304L, 308, and 308L stainless steels. It can also be used for welding types 321 and 347 stainless steels.
ER308/ER308L is very similar to type 308 but has a carbon content of approximately .02-.03%, which produces a weld deposit with good resistance against intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation. It is also suitable for applications at cryogenic temperatures.
