Sold in 2-packs of two pound spools, .023" PowerWeld ER308L is used for welding unstabilized steel types like 301, 302, 304, 305 and 308 stainless steels. It is very similar to type 308 but has a carbon content of approximately .02%, which produces a weld deposit with good resistance against intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation.
The most popular filler metal among all of the stainless steel welding wires, ER308L is great for a variety of general purpose applications.
