Sold in 33-pound spools, .045" PowerWeld ER308L is used for welding unstabilized steel types like 301, 302, 304, 305 and 308 stainless steels. It is very similar to type 308 but has a carbon content of approximately .02%, which produces a weld deposit with good resistance against intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation.
The most popular filler metal among all of the stainless steel welding wires, ER308L is great for a variety of general purpose applications.
